This Sunday saw a fantastic turnout for Remembrance Sunday in Coedpoeth, despite the inclement weather.
The service, lead by Curate Emma Dale, was unable to be held in St. Tydfil’s church, and unfortunately had to be shortened because of the cold and wet conditions. Many members of the public accompanied the procession from the church, down the main road, onto Park Road and into the Memorial Park, and were met by many more at the Cenotaph. Young people from Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts were in attendance and lay wreaths along with Armed Forces Veterans, Community Councillors and members of the public. Thanks to the Salvation Army band for providing musical accompaniment and the Last Post and Reveille. Warm drinks and cakes made by community councillors, held at the Old Carnegie Library were welcomed after the service.
