Update: 22nd May 2024
After being closed for some time due to a damaged and dangerous floor in the main hall area and toilets, work is soon to begin on the refurbishment!!
We are very grateful to Wrexham County Borough Council and their SPF Key Fund Grants for providing us with £125k to carry out the work to improve the Parish Hall as the community asset it is meant to be.
We look forwards to the work beginning in the next couple of weeks but even more to the work being completed when we will once more be able to open our doors and provide both old and new facilities, which have all had a face lift and a refresh!
We are planning events for later in the year, once we are ready to reopen and look forwards to welcoming residents of Coedpoeth and from further afield to enjoy our new interior.
While the work is being carried out, some of our usual groups and customers will transfer to the Old Library to carry out activities, and our car park may have to be reduced in size to house the contractors and their equipment. Please bare with us during this time.
The main room in the Parish Hall is currently unavailable due to damage to the floor. The Balcony Room and Ante Room can still be hired for activity classes and small meetings.
Plans are in place to fully refurbish the entire building to provide much the same facilities, but with some extra improvements. The Council are aiming for the new developments to be environmentally sustainable , to compliment the original style of the building, and to help reduce costs to the Community Council. It is hoped that all of the work will be completed within the coming year.
