Parish Hall – Remembrance Day Event Sunday 11th November 2024
Councillors Lia van Ryswyk and Yvonne McCarroll representing the community council in the laying of a wreath to remember
those who lost their lives during active conflict protecting our country.
Thanks to the Levelling Up Fund, UK Government and Wrexham County Borough Council and the funds we received earlier this year to support our Parish Hall Refurb Project, we have been able to open the doors of the Parish Hall and welcome our community back in on this important day of remembrance, joining with the friends of St.Tudfils Church, the Salvation Army and the armed forces veterans as well as Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts to remember those who lost their lives defending our country in the various conflicts around the world.
Thank you to all who joined us on this, the first of many community events in our refurbished and improved hall.
UPDATE: 9th November 2024
We are now taking booking for the parish hall! The booking system is not yet able to go live and bookings are still (and will continue to do so) being taken via the Caretakers and the Office.
Please call: 01978 755998 or 01978 756890 to make bookings.
Update: Monday 21st October 2024
We are still unable to take bookings for the Parish Hall as we await official permission to do so, and appreciate the patience of all users and groups who are wanting to book in their events, activities, classes and sessions. Delays in the completion of work and receiving certificates for certain legal requirements have held us up and keep moving the official opening back each week. We are doing everything we can to get the hall open and available to use. Please keep an eye on this website and our social media pages for updates.

Prices are yet to be finalised for hall bookings, in particular for use of the main hall and other facilities, and these will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
Saturday 19th October 2024!
On Saturday we had an open day to allow people to have a look at the improvements which have been made to Coedpoeth Parish Hall. We now would like to ask anyone who has not yet done so, to complete a very short survey, which hopefully captures what people think to the ‘before and after’ versions of the hall and it’s facilities.
Thanks to all of the people who came along and to all of our community groups who came to share their information about activities and services, and to those looking for volunteers and members with their groups – I hope you were successful!

It’s really important that we know what you think, for future improvements and for sharing feedback to the grant givers – UK Government, Levelling Up Fund and Wrexham County Borough Council

Update: 22nd May 2024
After being closed for some time due to a damaged and dangerous floor in the main hall area and toilets, work is soon to begin on the refurbishment!!
We are very grateful to Wrexham County Borough Council and their SPF Key Fund Grants for providing us with £125k to carry out the work to improve the Parish Hall as the community asset it is meant to be.
We look forwards to the work beginning in the next couple of weeks but even more to the work being completed when we will once more be able to open our doors and provide both old and new facilities, which have all had a face lift and a refresh!
We are planning events for later in the year, once we are ready to reopen and look forwards to welcoming residents of Coedpoeth and from further afield to enjoy our new interior.
While the work is being carried out, some of our usual groups and customers will transfer to the Old Library to carry out activities, and our car park may have to be reduced in size to house the contractors and their equipment. Please bare with us during this time.
The main room in the Parish Hall is currently unavailable due to damage to the floor. The Balcony Room and Ante Room can still be hired for activity classes and small meetings.
Plans are in place to fully refurbish the entire building to provide much the same facilities, but with some extra improvements. The Council are aiming for the new developments to be environmentally sustainable , to compliment the original style of the building, and to help reduce costs to the Community Council. It is hoped that all of the work will be completed within the coming year.
